How to connect to a Minecraft server
How to join a Discord server
Our Minecraft servers are built on the Java edition.
We use various plugins necessary for server administration and team management. Despite the fact that each team has its own server, we can do mass actions such as touring other teams' servers or testing minigames...
Plugins also allow us to undo a failed action, for example. Players will also appreciate the WorldEdit plugin, which allows kids to improve their building skills.
Java Edition is also more convenient when using commands, where help and syntax checking of typed commands works very well.
Last but not least, Minecraft Java Edition is cheaper - see https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/get-minecraft.
In the previous question, we address the advantage of the Minecraft Java version and the plugins we use. The WIN version also offers a number of advantages that we would use in the future, such as Code Connect, ...
Internally, we are testing so that we can allow connections to the courses from the WIN and EDU editions as well.
Unfortunately not, see the previous question on Java editing. During the workshop, the children learn to work with commands via the computer keyboard. These options are very limited when working with a tablet.
For the time being, we only run servers during courses' time. We are trying to control server infrastructure costs. It is also important that the kids work in teams. Ideally, they should work together on their projects.
We are working on a service that would allow you to run a server to work outside of circle time. If you are interested, please contact us!
The courses are organized in a project way, each project lasts 2, 4 or 8 lessons according to the children's skills. Children work in teams. At the end of the project, the children prepare a presentation and present their work to other children in the club. At the end of the school year, the projects will be evaluated and the children and parents will vote for the best ones to receive a special prize.
In the introductory lesson, the children are divided into teams to work on project tasks. There is a maximum of 4-5 children in each team and each team has one mentor. The children thus have very intensive guidance and support.
Virtual courses allow for both options, as children are divided into teams.
So if your daughter/son attended a club in the 1st half of the year, she/he will continue at the level of the team she/he was in. If our clubs are new to you, the children will be grouped according to their skills.
If you have more questions about our courses, camps, the content, or anything else, please contact us using the contact form. We will be happy to answer all of them! :-)
